Being negative will do only 1 thing. Make you feel worse! –
-Your back to exercising but the early mornings are getting to you and your trainer is not as funny as he was 2 weeks ago, now the novelties worn off! We easily can become negative!
Let’s face it! Who doesn’t love a good moan about the weather, the government, their boss, the skinny girl at the office who “eats anything she wants but still theirs not a pick on her”. For some reason, moaning and being negative, just makes us feel better. Even better still if we say it to someone else who identifies with the same negativity. The girl on the office who eats rolls and chocolate for lunch runs over to her friend who’s in accounts and has a good laugh about a girl who she sits beside who has started to eat salad. It feels good, and it masks our own feelings of guilt and awe and we hide behind a wall of negativity and try and find someone else to join us as with numbers we feel more secure. –
But, do we really feel good about ourselves when we are like this? Do we really feel happy? Could that be the reason why we drink to such excess at the weekends and engage in things that we shouldn’t just so we can feel wanted and attractive? –
You see being negative, only makes us more negative about everything in life. True happiness does not come from negativity. But when we want to actually change being negative, this takes work. When you find yourself being negative towards for example going to the gym, try to flip that around and tell yourself how good this is for you. When you are sick of not eating sandwiches and chocolate, think to yourself how good it is that you’re becoming more healthy with so much more energy and confidence. If it’s Friday evening and your being made stay back late, focus on the weekend ahead and the fact that Monday morning will be so much easier as your getting the work done now.
Be positive about your new fitness life and be happy that your changing for the better. As with Negativity, positivity breeds positivity, so be more positive!
